Middle & High School

SALT is in charge of coming up with and carrying out service projects for the specific age group of the team. There is a 6th-8th, 9th-10th and 11th-12th grade team. Each year we select 10 students to be on each of these teams. There will be an application out in early September for students to fill out if they would like to be on the team. 

Is reading books one of your favorite pasttimes? Join our youth book club and read books alongside other teens. We meet as needed to talk about the chapters assigned from the book. This is a great way to meet teens with the same interest as you and learn more about your faith in a fun way! 

Each summer we go on a week-long mission trip with Catholic Heart Workcamp. This is a week either in Iowa or in a different state. We will stay at a school/university and help in the area with low-income neighborhoods and daycares. After a day of service, we will spend the night together at program which includes fun, music and witness. 

During 4 days in November of the odd years (2021, 2023, 2024, etc.), we will take teens to the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, IN. Thousands of teens from all over the U.S. come together to worship the Lord and learn more about their faith.
